Niles Charter Township Board of Trustees approves recreational marijuana ordinance

After months of discussion and debate, the Niles Charter Township Board of Trustees approved a recreational marijuana ordinance allowing retail businesses in the township.
The new ordinance and zoning amendment require marijuana establishments to be located in the General Business zoning district, with frontage on South. 11th Street between State Line Road and Fulkerson Road. Leader Publications reports the application fee for each license will be $5,000.
