Regional Water and Sewer District opposes City petition for site of Microsoft data center

The Regional Water and Sewer District has opposed a petition from the City of Mishawaka regarding who will provide water and sewer service to the site of a planned Microsoft data center.
Mishawaka has requested exclusive rights from the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, but the county argues that the area is already part of its Granger subdistrict.
The county’s utility board voted to intervene in the case, aiming to represent nearby unincorporated residents.
The board also hired financial advisors to assist with rate comparisons and cost studies. The IURC will review both sides before making a decision.

Question ? Where does Granger get their water source? The data center will require a huge amount of water a day
