A traffic stop this past weekend led to the arrest of a 40-year-old Elkhart man on drug and drunk driving charges.
Police say they pulled over a vehicle shortly after 12 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, near the intersection of Elkhart Road and Midway Road for multiple moving violations. The driver, identified as Guillermo Bravo of Elkhart, was found to be in possession of cocaine and was suspected of operating while intoxicated.
Bravo reportedly refused to submit to a certified chemical test. Officers obtained a search warrant, and test results are pending.
He was taken to the Elkhart County Jail and booked on the charges.
