The Hoosier Lottery is expected to earn slightly less than budgeted but remains on track to provide a significant surplus payment to Indiana.
Revenue forecasts for the fiscal year ending June 30 show a decrease, with prize, game, and administrative expenses also expected to be lower.
Despite a decline in Powerball sales and scratch-off underperformance, the lottery aims to net $352 million in the next fiscal year.
Lawmakers recently rejected a proposal for online gaming, but the lottery remains open to modernization and innovation when the time is right.
