A Dowagiac man has been sentenced to prison for shooting a woman in Cassopolis.
Johnathon Abram Barrett, 25, pleaded guilty to felonious assault, carrying a weapon with unlawful intent, and using a firearm during a felony from the incident back on Jan. 5.
He received three prison terms totaling up to 9.5 years and was fined nearly $2,700.
Barrett shot the woman in the neck and shoulder during an altercation at a home on O’Keefe Street.
