Four new Indiana conservation officer K-9 teams have graduated and are now on duty, assisting in locating wildlife, ginseng, and missing persons.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources launched the K-9 program in 1997, with the teams playing a crucial role in tracking poachers and finding evidence.

The K-9 Resource Protection Program spans nine weeks, equipping the dogs and handlers with the necessary skills for their vital work in conservation and public safety.
