Road Rage incident leads to shooting at Berrien County truck stop

A reported road rage incident led to a shooting at JD’s Truckstop, according to the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were dispatched to the scene around 3:40 a.m. on Friday, June 6, and found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The individual was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their condition has not been released.
Investigators say the shooting stemmed from an altercation between two vehicles traveling along U.S. 12 in Bertrand Township shortly before the incident.
The BCSO evidence team processed the scene, and detectives are actively investigating.
