Senators Jim Banks and Richard Blumenthal introduced the Veterans Appeals Efficiency Act of 2025 on Monday.

It would give the Board of Veterans’ Appeals new tools and address procedural problems to streamline veterans’ appeals.

They’d have quicker access to the VA benefits they’ve earned. Some key provisions include allowing aggregation of similar appeals, certifying class actions, tracking the timeliness of claims, making urgent cases a priority and more.

The legislation builds on the landmark 2017 Veterans Appeals Improvement Act by giving the Board and Court more tools to process benefit claims more efficiently.
