A project to construct a new 200-unit apartment complex in Lincoln Township has taken a step forward.

It’s set to be constructed at the site of the former Snow Flake Motel on Red Arrow Highway.

During a meeting on Tuesday, the Lincoln Township Board of Trustees held its first reading on the rezoning request for two parcels at the site.

No public comment was made on the project’s rezoning during the meeting, and Township Supervisor Glenn Youngstedt says he believes everyone is in agreement that this is what they want.

The board will next hold a second and final reading on the rezoning, but if all goes well, WSJM says the complex could be ready for residents to move in as early as next year.
