You may remember an officer-involved shooting, last week, in which a 45-year-old man from Winimac was killed and a Chesterton police officer was injured.
That officer was identified as 33-year-old Nolan Mancera, a five-year veteran with the Chesterton Police Department.
He was taken to a hospital in Illinois to be treated for his injuries, eventually released, and is now at home recovering.
