It’s five years at the Indiana Department of Corrections for a man accused of auto theft.

Goshen Police say they tried to stop a Honda Civic in February of 2022 for not having headlights on, but the vehicle fled, later crashing on Eisenhower Drive in Goshen.

The Goshen News says the vehicle had been reported stolen and the driver, Tony Yowell, had fled from previous law enforcement.

Police also received a report of another motor vehicle theft that day where a man said his father’s truck had been stolen.

When police located the truck, Yowell’s DNA was found in the vehicle. He was sentenced by plea for auto theft.
