A Warsaw man will serve 14 years for causing a fatal vehicle accident while driving under the influence.

Anish Daita was charged with causing death while operating a vehicle while intoxicated and two counts of causing serious bodily injury while operating while intoxicated.

Daita reportedly told police he was traveling on C.R. 150 West when he lost control of the vehicle and hit the other vehicle head-on.

The driver of the other vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, and six juvenile passengers were injured. Daita failed all sobriety tests and had a BAC above the legal limit.
