Two people wounded in shooting at Huey, Roger Streets in South Bend

The South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit is investigating a shooting that wounded two people on the city’s northwest side.

On Tuesday, July 15, just before 7 p.m., South Bend Police responded to the area of Huey and Roger Streets on a ShotSpotter notification.

Upon arrival, officers located a male in the 700 block of Huey Street, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

As officers were investigating, they were advised of a second victim who arrived at Memorial Hospital, also with apparent gunshot wounds.

Both victims are being treated at the hospital.
