Lyft ride gone wrong being investigated by SBPD

A local woman has filed a police report after a nightmare of a Lyft ride from Mishawaka to South Bend. WNDU reports that last Friday, around 6 p.m., she requested a ride on the Lyft app and the driver took her in the opposite direction of her destination.

She says the driver told her he was taking her to the highway, and she jumped out of the back window.

When she reached out to Lyft, all she got in reply was an email saying she wouldn’t be charged for the ride, and the number for an insurance company. The South Bend Police are investigating.
