It’s prison time for a man who pleaded guilty to resisting police.

37-year-old Terrel Ward pleaded guilty to resisting police as well as receiving, concealing and possession of a stolen motor vehicle and assault with a dangerous weapon.

Incidents happened in May and October of 2024. Leader Publications says police responded to a stolen property complaint in May, and Ward reportedly ran from police.

In October, Ward fled from police at high speeds in a stolen truck before being stopped in Van Buren County. He was sentenced to 16 months to two years in prison.
