An Edwardsburg man is headed to prison after committing new crimes just a day after pleading guilty to drug charges.
Larry Ray Morbach, 55, pleaded guilty to meth distribution as a habitual offender in Cass County. The next day, he was arrested in Berrien County after a police chase for meth possession, fleeing police, and having a concealed weapon in a vehicle.
Now, a Cass County judge sentenced Morbach to 12 to 30 years in prison.
Leader Publications reports the original Cass County incident happened back in February in Edwardsburg, where police found meth, a gun, and $10,000 in cash during a check on another person.
