Warsaw man convicted by jury for unlawful possession of a firearm

A Warsaw man has been found guilty after a two-day jury trial in U.S. District Court in South Bend.
The jury returned a verdict of guilty against Gary Schmucker, 47, on the sole count of the Indictment charging him with possessing a firearm as an unlawful drug user.
Sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 25.
The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives with assistance from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
