A 12-year-old boy was hospitalized after being shot in South Bend.

The shooting reportedly happened around 2 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16, near Corby and Lawrence Street. The child was taken to the hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.

There was no word about possible suspects or the circumstances that led to the shooting.
