Berrien Co. reviews protocols for mass casualty event response

Berrien County First Responders are discussing the best ways to react and respond to mass casualty emergencies.

Last week, the Berrien County Board of Commissioners heard about meetings with first response agencies on the best ways to handle active violence, mass casualty situations like the school shooting last week in Minnesota.

WSJM reports that the protocols are still being refined, and a draft proposal is expected for further scrutiny at the next commission meeting.
