Burglary suspect pleads guilty

(Tommie Lee/MNC)

One of two people charged with burglaries at CTS in Elkhart has pleaded guilty.

The Goshen News says police were headed to W. Beardsley Ave. for the burglary when they saw two people walking fast on Oak Street.

Jonathan Nehring and Toni Allen were detained, and Nehring allegedly admitted they had taken items from the building.

Allen was in the middle of pleading guilty to burglary when the judge refused to allow her to plea.

Allen pleaded guilty to the burglary but said she did not create the damage in the building but that she and Nehring did have other plans inside the property.

The judge refused to accept the plea, and the jury trial remains scheduled for October 20.
