A Wakarusa man has been sentenced to two years of probation for violating the Lacey Act.

Dylan Nissley, 32, pleaded guilty to charges related to illegal hunting and fishing activities in Ohio and Missouri.

The violations included conducting unlicensed fishing trips, allowing clients to catch more than the legal limit of walleye, and illegally killing a buck with a firearm during an archery-only season.

In addition to his probation, Nissley will be banned from all hunting and fishing and must complete 144 hours of community service.
