Indiana lawmakers are teaming up to secure more federal funding for rural health care.
Second District Congressman Rudy Yakym led a bipartisan letter, signed by 10 of Indiana’s 11 congressional members, urging the Department of Health and Human Services to allocate maximum funding to Indiana.
The letter highlights serious challenges in rural Indiana, including hospital closures and provider shortages, and states the funding is vital to protecting access to care for Hoosiers.
