Indiana State Police have charged a Gary man after he allegedly exposed himself to an Uber driver during a ride earlier this month.
Investigators say Isaiah Malik Johnson, 22, was picked up by a female driver on OcT. 6 from Arizona Street in Gary, headed to the Lake County Community Corrections Kimbrough Center in Crown Point. During the trip, Johnson allegedly fondled and exposed himself while making suggestive remarks. The driver told him to get out and reported the incident to staff at the corrections center.
Detectives interviewed Johnson and say he admitted asking for the driver’s phone number but denied the indecent acts. Following the investigation, he was charged with indecent exposure, a Class C misdemeanor, and remains held in the Lake County Jail.
