An 82-year-old Warsaw man was hospitalized after crashing into two parked vehicles along County Road 46.
According to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened around 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 20, near the S-curve by 10259 County Road 46. Investigators say a 2014 Ford Explorer driven by the Warsaw man was traveling east when it went left of center, left the roadway, and continued into a nearby driveway instead of following the curve south.
The Explorer then struck the rear of a parked 1997 GMC, pushing it forward into a 2000 Ford Excursion. Both vehicles were unoccupied at the time of the crash. The GMC sustained moderate rear-end damage, and the Excursion had minor damage.
The Warsaw man suffered a laceration to his right arm and was taken by ambulance to Goshen Hospital for treatment.
The investigation into the crash continues.
