Police investigate death of two-week-old infant in Goshen home

Police are investigating the death of a two-week-old infant who was found unresponsive early Saturday morning.
According to the Goshen Police Department, officers were called to a home in the 400 block of South Silverwood Lane around 2:59 a.m. for a report of an infant who was not breathing.
When officers and medical personnel arrived, they immediately began life-saving measures. The infant was taken to Goshen General Hospital, where the child was later pronounced dead.
As is standard procedure in such cases, the Elkhart County Homicide Unit responded to assist with the investigation. No additional details have been released.
