The South Bend Community School Board voted unanimously Monday to move forward with a contract extension for Superintendent Mansour Eid.

His current contract ends after the 2025–26 school year, but the proposed extension would keep him in the role through June 30, 2027.

The vote was not a final approval, but a show of support to continue the process.

The board is expected to take official action on the extension at its next meeting.
