Indiana State Senator Andy Zay has introduced a bill to designate the breaded tenderloin sandwich as the state sandwich of Indiana.
The bill, which had its first reading in the Indiana State Senate, aims to add a new chapter to the Indiana Code recognizing the sandwich made from Indiana-raised pork.
If passed, the designation would take effect on July 1, 2026.
