Indiana Republican state senators rejected a redrawn congressional map that would have favored their party in the 2026 elections, defying pressure from President Donald Trump.
The proposal aimed to give Republicans an advantage by splitting Indianapolis into four districts and potentially eliminating Democratic representatives’ districts. The final vote was 31 against it and 19 in favor of it.
The House, also Republican-controlled, passed the map, and some Republicans are considering supporting primary opponents against the dissenting senators.
The new maps would have given Republicans theoretical control of all nine House seats. They already control seven of those seats.
“If Republicans will not do what is necessary to save our Country, they will eventually lose everything to the Democrats. Rod Bray and his friends won’t be in Politics for long, and I will do everything within my power to make sure that they will not hurt the Republican Party, and our Country, again,” said President Trump in a post on Truth Social Wednesday night.

Good! Maybe our purple GOP will get replaced and Indiana will finally have conservative politicians with spines in office.
The RINOs just outed themselves. Rest assured, if the roles were reversed the dimocrats would not hesitate a single nanosecond to get more power. Those RINOs voting no are FOOLS! TI is very disappointing that three of those voting no represent some portion of Elkhart County. Shameful!
There is no excuse for this. President Trump has at worst only a year to get the Ship of State from its list. These RINOs just made that job much harder.
Kalifornia, Illinois, New York, New Jersey, the armpit of the country, and several other deep blue states have no chance to correct their trajectory. Each of those states have net losses in population and should lose congressional seats after the next census.
Those Republicans who voted against “redistricting” in Indiana just proved what we have suspected fora long time. They are traitors to OUR state and to OUR country! We need to stand up to these traitors and call them out for who they are. They care more about how much money they can cheat the taxpayers out of than they do protecting the United States from the Communists who now control the Democratic Party. The governor along with the 31 “traitors” who voted to turn our state over to the Communists (i.e: Democrats) have proven their disloyalty to President Trump by lying to Indiana citizens to get elected and, in my opinion, should be thrown out of office and replaced with REAL Americans who LOVE our state!
