Dowagiac search warrant leads to drug arrest, stolen property recovered

An investigation by local and county law enforcement agencies resulted in a drug arrest and the recovery of stolen property in Dowagiac.
According to authorities, the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team, working alongside the Dowagiac Police Department and the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant around 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 22, at a home in the 200 block of West Railroad Street.
During the search, detectives reported finding multiple stolen items, along with methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside the home.
A 61-year-old woman was taken into custody on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. Her name has not been released pending arraignment in the 4th District Court.
