Tippecanoe Place in South Bend closes, effective immediately

Tippecanoe Place restaurant in South Bend has closed its doors, effective immediately.
The announcement was made in a Facebook post, citing a heavy heart and mixed emotions after decades of serving the community.
The restaurant thanked loyal guests, partners and the South Bend community for making Tippecanoe Place part of countless celebrations, holidays, and milestones.
The mansion’s owner, Studebaker Mansion LLC, says it will keep the community informed on next steps.
Meanwhile, the Studebaker Brewing Company taproom in New Carlisle remains open six days a week.
