Indiana lawmakers have voted to keep life-saving heart equipment in schools.
A House committee reversed a proposal that would have repealed requirements for A-E-Ds and cardiac emergency plans at school events.
The American Heart Association says hundreds of supporters contacted legislators to protect the rules, which were just enacted last year.
The bill now moves to the full House, where advocates hope to ensure these safety standards remain law.
