Indiana Senate Republicans are moving forward with a new round of tax cuts for 2026.

Senate Bill 243 passed a key committee, this week, proposing to eliminate state taxes on tips, overtime, and interest on American-made car loans.
Senate President Rod Bray says the goal is to mirror federal tax breaks and keep more money in Hoosier pockets.
The bill comes as the state’s flat income tax rate dropped again this month and a major property tax relief package begins to take effect.

I wish Rod Bray cared as much about our rights as he does the tax code.
