The Amber Alert issued in Starke County, Friday, resulted with the child found safe and the boy’s father in custody.
The Starke County Sheriff’s Office says the 2-year-old boy reported missing from North Judson was located late Friday morning.
Investigators say the dad, 44-year-old Dwyane Clemons, allegedly assaulted the child’s mother, threatened her with a firearm, and fled with the boy after dropping the woman off at a hospital.
The child was later found at a home and released to the Indiana Department of Child Services.
Clemons was later located at another home, where he surrendered after police used a chemical agent.
