A South Bend man has been sentenced to six years in federal prison for multiple controlled substance offenses involving fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine.
Jaron Williams, 44, was sentenced to 72 months in prison by Cristal C. Brisco after pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute 40 grams or more of a mixture containing fentanyl, along with mixtures containing cocaine and methamphetamine. The sentence also includes four years of supervised release, according to United States Attorney’s Office.
Court documents show Williams sold fentanyl to another individual on two occasions in the fall of 2024. In December 2024, law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at his home, where they recovered fentanyl powder, cocaine, and methamphetamine. Investigators also seized four handguns, a shotgun, and more than $64,000 in cash.
The investigation was led by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, with assistance from the St. Joseph County Police Department, South Bend Police Department, Michigan City Police Department, and the Indiana State Police.
