A Rochester man has been identified as the victim who was struck and killed by a truck along U.S. 30.
It happened Monday night near Meijer Road in Warsaw. Police say 69-year-old Randy Williams had pulled onto the shoulder and got out of his pickup truck to pick up cargo that had fallen from the bed.
While he was outside the vehicle, he was struck by a passing semi.
Investigators say Williams’ pickup was properly parked on the shoulder and not in a traffic lane.
