Visitation Sunday, funeral Monday for fallen Beech Grove officer

The Beech Grove Police Department has announced funeral arrangements for Officer Brian Elliott, who was fatally wounded in the line of duty on Monday, Feb. 16, 2026.

Officer Elliott was shot while responding to a domestic disturbance call in Beech Grove.

Visitation will be held Sunday, Feb. 22, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Beech Grove High School, located at 5330 Hornet Ave.

A celebration of life is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 23, at 11 a.m., also at Beech Grove High School.

Following the service, a traditional police procession with ceremonial honors will take place. The procession will begin at the high school and conclude at Crown Hill Cemetery. Officials say the exact route will be released in the coming days.

Both the visitation and the celebration of life are open to the public.
