Goshen man arrested after overnight police pursuit, multiple charges filed

A Goshen man is facing several criminal charges after police say he led officers on a short pursuit.

According to Goshen Police, officers attempted a traffic stop around 1:15 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21, in the 600 block of North Main Street for multiple traffic infractions. The driver failed to stop, prompting a brief vehicle pursuit.

The vehicle eventually stopped on North Indiana Avenue, where officers arrested 23-year-old Jonathan Reyes of Goshen.

Reyes faces preliminary charges including resisting law enforcement, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, operating a vehicle without a license, unlawful carrying of a firearm, and leaving the scene of an accident involving injuries.

He was transported to the Elkhart County Jail. The incident remains under investigation.
