SBN switches up parking

A new parking experience is coming to South Bend International Airport.

Interstate Parking began converting lot entrances to ticketless entry and exit on Wednesday with work expected to wrap up by Friday, weather permitting.

The system will use license plate recognition technology to streamline the process. Drivers can park, scan a posted QR code, register their vehicle and payment, and simply drive out.

No app is required. Interstate Parking ambassadors will assist customers during the transition.

Airport CEO Mike Daigle says the upgrade continues SBN’s modernization efforts, making parking faster and easier for travelers.
