A jury trial for an Elkhart woman accused of driving while intoxicated in a crash that killed a motorcyclist has been postponed.

Thirty-year-old Angelina Rosa Amelia Valente faces charges after a July 7 crash near County Road 20 and County Road 111.

Police say Valente, who was driving for Uber, attempted to turn around in a private driveway after losing her GPS signal and pulled into the path of a motorcycle driven by 55-year-old Franklin Herrington of Elkhart.

The Goshen News says Herrington was taken to the hospital but later died from his injuries. Investigators say Valente failed field sobriety tests. Her jury trial has been moved from March 16 to June 1.
