Charges have been filed against a woman accused of causing a deadly wrong-way crash on Interstate 65 in Lake County earlier this year.
Prosecutors say 29-year-old Jessica Hughes of Hebron faces multiple felony charges, including death while operating a vehicle with a blood-alcohol level of point-zero-eight or higher, causing serious bodily injury while intoxicated, and reckless homicide.
Investigators say Hughes had a blood-alcohol concentration of .18 at the time of the February crash.
Police say the collision killed Rylee Hanson and seriously injured a passenger in Hanson’s vehicle, who was treated at a local hospital.
Authorities say Hughes has turned herself in to the Lake County Jail, posted bond, and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Superior Court in April.
