Indiana electric companies looked into as energy costs rise

(Tommie Lee/MNC)
State regulators are putting Indiana’s five largest electric companies under the microscope next week.
The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission will hold an all-day investigative inquiry next Tuesday in Indianapolis to address rising energy costs and bill transparency.
While the public can watch the hearing via YouTube, the commission says this is just the first step.
A second phase is planned for later this year, which will include community listening sessions held across the state to hear directly from customers.
