Potawatomi Zoo brings back nighttime lantern festival

The Potawatomi Zoo is bringing back its nighttime lantern festival for a second year.

Zoo Luminate will run April 22 through June 28, Wednesday through Sunday from 7 to 11 p.m. The event features dozens of large, illuminated lantern displays.

This year’s theme, “Sea to Believe,” highlights undersea animals and ocean habitats. Zoo officials say nearly 80-thousand people attended the event last year.

Admission is 22 dollars for adults and 18 dollars for children, with discounted pricing for zoo members. Children two and under are free.

The zoo train, carousel, concessions and gift shop will also be open during the event.
