The Potawatomi Zoo officially unveiled its new train last week.

Zoo leaders say the electric CP Huntington replica replaces a gasoline train that had operated since 2004 but faced frequent repairs in recent years.

The new train will run year-round and offers a quieter, more environmentally friendly experience for guests.

Officials say the upgrade supports the zoo’s conservation mission while preserving a longtime family favorite, ensuring future generations can continue enjoying one of the zoo’s most popular attractions.
