A single-vehicle crash in Cass County left one passenger injured.
According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 7:45 p.m. on Friday, April 17, to Bellows Road, south of Sweet Road.
Investigators say a 16-year-old Edwardsburg driver was traveling southbound when his vehicle struck a log in the roadway. The impact caused the driver to lose control, hit a tree, and overturn.
A 19-year-old passenger, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle. The passenger was transported by ambulance to Memorial Hospital. The driver was treated at the scene and released.
The crash remains under investigation.
