The United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Indiana is marking National Crime Victims’ Rights Week from April 19 through the 25.

This year’s theme, “Listen. Act. Advocate. Protect victims, serve communities,” highlights the importance of connection and support for survivors.

U.S. Attorney Adam L. Mildred says the week is a time to honor victims and the professionals who stand beside them, from advocates to law enforcement and legal teams.

The observance began in 1981 to raise awareness and recognize those serving crime victims.
