An Elkhart man will spend years behind bars after admitting to repeatedly dealing methamphetamine.
31-year-old Jorge Fernandez was sentenced to 16 years in Elkhart County Superior Court, with six years in prison and the remainder on probation.
Investigators say the county’s ICE Unit began tracking Fernandez in mid-2025, using a confidential informant to conduct controlled buys, many inside his garage on South Simonton Street. A June search uncovered about 500 grams of meth, along with packaging materials, pipes and cash.
The Goshen News says after being released, police say Fernandez resumed dealing, leading to his arrest during a traffic stop in late October.
