An Elkhart man convicted in a burglary-related case is set to be released after already serving his sentence.
66-year-old Melvin Johnson was arrested in October 2024 after police say he entered a home on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive without permission.
The homeowner reported damage to a window and items moved inside. The Goshen News states that officers found Johnson in the residence.
He later pleaded guilty to residential entry and received a two-and-a-half-year sentence, which he has now completed with credit time.
