Road construction is scheduled to begin on Monday, May 18, on State Road 933 between State Road 331 and Ash Road.
The Indiana Department of Transportation says crews will start with storm drainage improvements on the north side of the roadway between Chestnut Street and Ash Road.
INDOT says one lane of traffic in each direction will remain open during construction, though lanes may be narrowed or shifted.
That portion of the project is expected to continue through late July.
Road patching and resurfacing work will also take place while maintaining at least one lane in each direction. Flaggers will direct traffic when necessary.
As part of the project, a new traffic signal will be installed at the intersection of S.R. 933 and Apple Road. INDOT says the signal will coordinate with the nearby railroad crossing.
The overall project is expected to continue through the end of November.
Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time in the area.
