A Cass County man who stole a Cassopolis Police Department patrol vehicle and led officers on a manhunt in 2025 has been sentenced to decades in prison.
Andy Freshour was sentenced after pleading guilty in March to multiple felony charges connected to the May 28, 2025 incident.
According to court records, Freshour received a minimum sentence of 24 years in prison on nine felony counts, along with an additional two years tied to seven felony firearm enhancements. Court officials said all but one of the sentences will be served consecutively.
Freshour was sentenced to prison terms ranging from three to 20 years for charges including concealing a firearm, unlawful driving away of a motor vehicle, fleeing police, malicious destruction of police property, and firearm possession by a prohibited person.
He also received sentences of three to 15 years for larceny of a firearm and assaulting, resisting, or obstructing a police officer.
Investigators said Freshour stole a police cruiser after being detained on unrelated charges involving a drug-related probation violation. Authorities later tracked him down and arrested him in a swamp area.
