The South Shore Line says it is encouraged by the Chicago Bears’ decision to continue exploring a new stadium in Hammond.
The transit agency says the project could improve regional transportation and give fans another option for getting to games if the team ultimately chooses Northwest Indiana as its future home.
Officials say they are prepared to work with regional partners to evaluate potential service expansions and transportation options if the project moves forward.
